US is witnessing a decrease in crimes over last few years including the crimes involving guns and firarms, though in last few months there have been a couple of events making it to the front pages. Some interesting facts - California being the state with largest population also witnesses the maximum murders, robberies, assaults and murders involving firearms; and District of Colombia has the highest Firearms murders per 100,000 population.
