In May 2023, the headline inflation rate increased to 22.41% relative to April 2023 headline inflation rate which was 22.22%. Demographic Statistics of Nigeria

In latest update, the total value of sovereign debt in default at US$443.2 billion in 2020 (0.5 percent of world public debt), up US$143.6 billion (48 percent) from the revised total of US$299.6 billion in 2019. This outpaces the 13 percent increase in gross world public debt. The data by major creditor categories show that the increase was driven mainly by foreign currency bonds in default, which rose by US$121.2 billion. This reflected:new defaults by Argentina, Belize, Ecuador and Surinamea first-time default on foreign currency bonds by Lebanona greater amount of interest arrears from ongoing bond defaults by Venezuela and Puerto Rico Local currency debt in default increased by US$0.9 billion. This was due mainly to Iraq’s restructuring of its short-term debt into debt with longer-term maturities and lower coupon rates.

Health Facilities in Nigeria by Type and Level of care

At the national level the total household expenditure on food and non-food for 2019 was N40,207,388,459,367 (N21,620,601,543,613.90 in 2009/10). Of this total, 56.65% (60.2% in 2009/10) of total household expenditure in 2019 was spent on food with the balance of about 43.35% (39.8 % in 2009/10) spent on non-food items. Food consumed outside the home, followed by transportation costs and starchy roots, tubers and plantains were responsible for the largest proportion of household expenditure representing a combined 24.16 percent of total household expenditure in 2019.

Postharvest loss profiles (PHL profiles) quantify the expected loss – as a percentage – at each point along the postharvest chain. This loss data is collected by reviewing scientific literature and is broken down by crop, type of farm and climate type (based on the Köppen-Geiger climate classification). Consumption has been estimated by TDA by aggregating the exports of the major wine producing countries to each individual country. The aggregation includes 41 countries including the EU 28, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Chile, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Ukraine, United States, and Uruguay. The November 2015 revision pertains to Sweden. Wine production quantity indicated for China does not include the production of Chinese yellow wine; quantity indicated for Japan does not include the production of Sake; quantity indicated for Korea does not include the production of fruit wine and rice wine.
