Statistics Finland

Statistics Finland (Finnish: Tilastokeskus, Swedish: Statistikcentralen) is the national statistical institution in Finland, established in 1865 to serve as an information service and to provide statistics and expertise in the statistical sciences. The institution employs more than 1,000 experts from varying fields.

Since March 2011, type of consumer T8. District heat: Tax is VAT only. Consumer prices also include the excise duties of fuels in heat production, the amount of which depends on the fuel used. The price of district heat is calculated twice a year. The share of taxes is now calculated from the price data nearest to each month. Previously the share of taxes was counted from the latest price data preceding the month. Since 2010, the biofuel share (10 per cent) has been taken into account in calculating the share of taxes in petrol, diesel oil and light fuel oil. The oil pollution control fee has been retrospectively deducted from the calculations.
