Statistics Norway

Statistics Norway (The Central Bureau of Statistics) was formally established as an independent entity in 1876. The Statistics Norway is responsible for collecting, producing and communicating statistics related to the economy, population and society at national, regional and local levels.

      There was a change in the LFS from January 2006, where the age limit was lowered from 16 to 15 years. In order to compare the figures for 2006 with the previous years, figures for 2006 have also been published based on the old method.Numbers for 1st og 2nd quarter 2006 have been corrected 16.10.2006.From 2018, a new estimation method has been applied, the figures have been revised back to 2006.
